Introducing Spiros

We almost look like we know what we are doing don't we!!!

No rude comments about the riding style that is the first horse I have ridden since I was about 12 - and yes that was a while ago.

We tried to do the John Snelling pose here, not a bad first effort. My biggest challenge is to get on him, the saddle came with him and it doesn't have anything to get a grip on and then there is just the problem of getting my leg up that high to begin with.



Here he is our new friend, Spiros, he is beautiful and has such a gentle nature. He was bought at the magic millions for a lot of money and suffered an injury and never raced. He has done a lot of pony club work and is a real gentle giant. He's a bit skinny at the moment which is why we got him so cheap but I am sure we can fatten him up a bit we don't seem to have any trouble doing that with the other animals.

Drilling for water.

This is the truck, it is huge with a large turning circle. it took 20 minutes to turn from the main road into our gate and only 30 minutes drilling to locate water.

The drillers at work, it was pretty interesting watching the whole process.
